Another Busy Weekend

Another very busy week.  It is scary how close Christmas is, and how much I have to get done before then.  We have started using Jacinta’s Advent Calendar as she is getting very excited.

The one thing I don’t like about Christmas is the tug of war over who gets to see us and when.  It takes some of the polish off what is meant to be a happy time.  Once it is all sorted it should be OK.

Friday Night was Dinner out and it was lovely to have an Adult dinner. 

Saturday morning was breakfast with Santa at the Local Shopping Centre.  My Sister came with Taylor, as Cooper had gone away for the weekend with Dad.  The two Girls had a ball.  Both in pretty dresses enjoyiong breakfast at McDonalds as Sherk walked around the Centre saying hello and playing games with all.  This was followed by a Christmas show about the Wish Fairy and the Naughty Elf.  Jacinta took Taylor up the front and they both danced at every opportunity.  Then it was a vist with Santa.  Taylor surprised us all by rushing up and giving Santa her dummy.  He tried to give it back, after updating him that she was giving it up, he happy put it in his sack to go back to the North Pole. (I am waiting on an update on how it goes after Cooper comes home from his holiday with his.)  For course Travis videoed the whole event, before having to rush off to work.

From there it was straight off to Scraptac for the Demo day.  I got the a MM Trimmer which I have wanted for a while.

Then off to Ange’s for a Chef Tools demo.  It is very good stuff, but not cheap.  Jacinta can with me and had a ball playing with Ange’s Girls.  She did not want to come home. Her annoncement on the way home.  “I am going to dream about the girls and the Tellietubies.” Not sure where the Tellietubies came from.   (We do talk each night before she goes to bed what she will dream about.)

Sunday was a bit a recovery day.  Normal catch up jobs around the house. Travis had a TV turn in the afternoon. Then off to a Christmas catch up with Adam and Jules and their three little ones.  I love the way the kids play together.  I think Jules is amazing with three under three, and nothing seems to worry her.  

Did not get any of the Presents made that I had planned, that will have to be next weekend’s job.

Busy Time

It has been a busy couple of weeks, both at work and at home.  Today I finnished a 14MB agenda for the second time, after word spat the dummy and lost some 20 embedded files.

The highlights from the last couple of weeks include Jodie’s Birthday, a couple of Crops at LSS, visit to Wendy’s house for lunch with some of the girls, Jacinta in the local Christmas parade with her cousins, and organising for Childcare Christmas Party.  Most important of all was the birth of Shazza and Jason’s little girl Ava on the 13th November.  The Girls, all did a double LO and gave it to her in a ready made Baby album ready for the photo’s to fo straight in.  She was very touched.  The cuddle photo above is from the day we gave Shazza the album on 23 Nov.   Jacinta has been talking about Ava lots since the visit.

 Here are some photo’s of my Princess “Cinteralla!”(not Cinderella) and the Parade. Miss Taylor was Snow White.  They had a wonderful time waving to the crowd. We caught the train so as not to hassel with parking.  Jacinta thought is was all part of the adventure of the day.  I am a bit disappointed with the photo’s from the day, only the little camera as I forgot Travis takes the SLR to the weddings.  I think there are still some cute ones.

Getting Ready for Christmas

Jacinta and I had a busy and fun weekend.  A phone call from my Mum Saturday morning to say the School near her had a Fete on. She could hear it in her back garden.   What was going to be a quick visit ended up be a very pleasant four hours.  A band, rides, stalls, silent auction, and face painting.  Jacinta spent much of the time dancing to the band all by herself. She is obsessed with Face painting, and was so excited when we found that stall.  Having to wait or turn seemed an eternity to her.  She has always wanted to have Spiderman face, but I am normally able to talk her into a butterfly, fairy or flower.  This time she there was not changing her mine.  She made a beautiful Spiderman; it even went well with her summer dress. Sunday we had a Surprise visit from Adam and Julie with their three young ones.  Great for Jacinta to have someone her own age to run around and jump on the Tramp with. Sunday afternoon Cara came over we scraped and chatted.  I made an Advent Calendar for Jacinta.  I love how it turned out.  She is learning numbers at the moment so it has two purposes. 

I made a list of all the present I what to make for Christmas.  It is long.  I have to Start NOW………………..

Scrapjack

I did a Design Team Class with the talented Kim Odgen at Scraptac Thursday last week.  I loved it.  It is so long since I have done a class and I have to say it was great.  Kimmy’s designs are fantastic, Cara, Hayley, Kelly where all in the class.  I had saved a seat for Shazza, but she has prego brain and forgot that she was meant to be there.  Rach and Shazza popped in, and Jules and Robbie where working so it was great to stop and chat after the class.  Lots of laughs in the car park afterwards. 

Friday was a great night.  Dinner with DH and DD.  They can be great fun.  I got a new Santa hat that can say naught or nice depending the was you wear it.  We had fun taking photos at dinner. Having trouble uploading photos.  I will be back later to post about out busy weekend and to upload photos.

Outed

I did decide to Blog ealier this year and I have not done much.  I need to find some time to understand how the system works, plus I have had massive computer problems.  Now I have my new computer I have no more excuses.   I am sure it is simple.  I just need time to play.  I have been outed by my friend Kim Ogden as she found my blog with its one entry from Feb.  Gosh where has the time gone.  So thanks for the push Kimmy.  I will have to pull my finger out, and start doing as I said. 

Hello world!

Time for me to join the Blogging world.  It is more for me than anyone else.  I want to be  better at journaling on my scrapbook pages so this will be my record to refer back to.  Might take me a while to get the hang of this.
